Farmers’ Market is in Full Swing!

Farmers’ market season has officially begun! This year we’ve added a new market to our Saturdays - Scott County Farmers’ Market - where I (Julie) will be bringing beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. I won’t have a full spread with me every week, so I highly encourage everyone to send in preorders to be picked up at the market.

I’m trying hard to keep our website up to date with what we have in stock, however, our beef has been selling so quickly it’s been challenging to keep folks updated. If you’re looking online and you don’t see what you’re looking for, please send a message. It may very well be that we have it and I just haven’t had time to sit down and update the site. Between markets, the backend business stuff, and trying to keep up with the market garden, sometimes the computer work (my least favorite) falls through the cracks.

So this year, you’ll see Jeremiah at the Lexington market on Saturdays, Daniel at the Harrison Co. Farmers’ Market bringing meat AND produce, and then you’ll catch me at Chevy Chase on Wednesdays, Georgetown on Saturdays, and both Jeremiah & myself at Southland on Sundays.

For those that don’t know Daniel, he’s been a great help on the farm giving us a spare hand when he’s not working his full-time job. Here he is getting some snakes out of the chicken coop… I’m not wrangling snakes unless I have to!!
